DEBTOR SERVICES
My office has over a quarter century of experience in assisting debtors in managing their debts. There are many options to solving problems with creditors. These solutions include lump-sum settlement, installment payments, work-outs, foreclosure defense, and in the worst case situation, relief under federal law. My office is not a “debt settlement” organization that requires a debtor to pay large amounts into trust before negotiating with the creditor. Our goal is to solve the problem as quickly and economically as possible.
On October 17, 2005, the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005 went into effect, ushering many significant changes to those seeking relief from insolvency. The most misunderstood requirement is the “means test,” a potentially complicated determination of a filer's eligibility for relief. It is highly recommended to have an experienced practitioner involved early in the process in order to achieve the best result the law permits. Attorney Theodore R. Saker, Jr. understands that bad things happen to good people, and has over a quarter century of experience representing people and business owners who have fallen on hard times and want to protect what they have worked hard for. Serving clients in Central, Southwest, and Southeast Ohio.
